Earlier I went wif the CACS lao jiao to try out the graduation robes. Super troublesome to wear man, got to attach safety pins all over the place... no wonder when I called my fren one day before her graduation she said she was practicing wearing the gown. After the tryout, we went lunch and XQ came up with a even better way to earn money than Joachim Kang's method. Ok, this involves becoming a pastor too but this time, you make sure you get someone who can somehow become a singer to be your wife (nevermind the fact she cannot sing actually lah, most impt is you must be confident she can somehow cut album). Then, here comes the best part, you use lots and lots of church funds to buy her albums then give them to the people in your church for free! The ingenius thing is, no one can say that you embezzle the funds yah, coz the money has recycled back as money earned by your wife from sales of her album, then somemore can make her album become a hit too! So it is clean money. woah hoo! ok.. the drawback is, it is not an original plan, someone else oredi did it.... still I am sure that if repeated, there would be plenty of willing victims also lah...

Was listening to 933 just now. Ling Zhi was talking about certain things in life you have no control over. Ok, let's leave things relating to birth aside, like what family you are born into, your aptitude, your physique, etc and instead concentrate on those things not related to your birth. Well, what does that leave us? well, you can control your grades in school because it is much determined by how hard you study, you can control your career progression by choosing a job that is suitable to you and working hard on it, you can control your company by choosing your friends...... so that leaves love. If I din remember wrongly, there was this line in the movie "Addicted to Love" which says "you can't choose who you love". How true that is! Though people usually have a certain ideal type in mind but they do not go around with a mental checklist to scrutinize every single person around them, pick the one closest to the ideal then fall in love. If so that won't be love, it would be investment!

Imagine how the world would be like if we can control love, let's think of it as having a button in our brain that we can press to activate "love". Then there would be much less suffering because suppose you find someone who fit what you are looking for, you can go up to him/her and see if you also fit what he/she is looking for, if so, both of you will just press the Love Button together and presto! you two will be in love for the rest of your life. There would be much less anguish from unrequited love, broken relationship, love triangle, loving the wrong person, etc. But the flip side is, love is no longer exciting or great or even colourful. The reason why love is so much celebrated, that makes it such good material for movies and stories be that tragedy or comedy, or the very "magic" of love lies in its irrationality and its paradoxical nature as summed up by this maxim: You can't choose who you love.
