Chinese New Year Songs
If there is anything that really irritates me about Chinese New Year, it is those jarringly joyous and melodically bland Chinese New Year songs. They simply get on my nerves, not just because the lyrics and the melodies of the various songs are barely distinguishable from one another, but also because I have listened to these same crap songs for like 28 years! And to add insult to injury, I don't seem to be able to avoid it. People play it in shopping malls, in neighbourhood shops owned and operated by ethnic Chinese, in TV commercials and on the radio waves. Simply put, in the one month leading up to Chinese New Year, Chinese New Year songs are omnipresent. Even if God really exists, He is surely less omnipresent (is that an oxymoronic phrase) than the blasted Chinese New Year songs. I wonder how many people out there HATE Chinese New Year songs as much as I do (and the worst thing is though I hate it, after I listen to these songs a few times, they just get under my skin and to my horror, they might just start playing in my mind... and they say hearing voices in your head is a sign of madness). I suppose even if most people hate them, they would still continue to be played because these are CHINESE NEW YEAR SONGS. I am so going to tune in to English radio stations from now on.

Bring it on siah...
i think some bouts of psychotherapy to get rid of the voices in your head might be needed
desensitization therapy would probably increase in intensity as we near the season
good luck!
